Interconnecting, Flow and Changing

A conceptual design that embodies the verbs interconnecting, flowing, and changing within a physical object.

Model Stage

After selecting an object to represent the three verbs—interconnecting, flowing, and changing—I combined them and placed them under a desk lamp. The resulting contrast and shadows cast a three-dimensional image of my model.

Material selection

To create the model stage, an object that can be manipulated is necessary. I selected a paper clip for its ductility. With it, I fashioned various shapes symbolizing interconnection, flow, and transformation, as depicted in the left image.
