The Grid
The design of this graphic design office draws inspiration from the surrounding infrastructure of South Norwalk, CT, including train stations, docks, and roads. These elements have shaped my design to reflect movement and my abstract style. The client provided a color scheme of orange, grey, white, and light blue, which I integrated seamlessly into the space. They desired an office environment that flows well and captures the spirit of South Norwalk. The layout includes a workspace, reception, and meeting area. At the client's request, the design features a graphic wall in the reception, a decorative wall in the workspace, and a screen separating the reception from the meeting area. The concept for the decorative wall was influenced by the patterns found in local train stations, roads, and structures, creating a motif that symbolizes interconnected train tracks, thus forming a network that promotes fluidity throughout the office.
